Cedar Plank Salmon

Tried this out the other night. Absolutely delicious, super easy, and healthy. Go figure.

Ingredients

1 (12 inch) cedar plank
2 tablespoons sesame oil
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets

    Directions

    1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 2 hours and up to 12
    2. Preheat the oven to 325.
    3. In small bowl, mix all ingredients (minus the salmon).
    4. Place salmon on the plank, skin side down. Spoon the mixture over the salmon so it is fully coated.
    5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the fillet can be flaked with a fork.

    I served with a baked potato and sautéed spinach and garlic. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture, but it was amazing I swear.

      Yeah me too! I baked it on the cedar plank in the oven but most people do it over the grill. It was sooo delicious.

      Where does one procure a cedar plank?

      You can get them at the grocery store. When I went to Albertson’s they were right next to the butcher.

      Excellent! I’m buying a grill sometime this month, and I’ll definitely have to give this a try.
